Selon l'interlocuteur de l'agence, le Golan connaît quotidiennement des affrontements entre les troupes gouvernementales syriennes et l'opposition, ce qui "met en danger le désengagement entre la Syrie et Israël".
Plus tôt dans la journée de lundi, une source diplomatique à New York avait annoncé à RIA Novosti que des insurgés syriens installés sur le plateau du Golan portaient de l'équipement et des casques identiques à ceux des soldats de l'Onu et ce pour tromper les troupes gouvernementales.

Das teilte ein ranghoher Diplomat, der anonym bleiben wollte, am Montag der Nachrichtenagentur RIA Novosti in New York mit. „Die Angaben sind durchaus glaubwürdig, sie wurden vom Kommando der UN-Truppen zur Kontrolle über die Entflechtung auf den Golanhöhen bestätigt“, sagte der Gesprächspartner.

ReplyDeleteSyrian opposition fighters are hiding on the Golan Heights in the guise of UN peacekeepers, reported RIA Novosti on Monday, referring to a diplomatic source in the US government.
According to the diplomat, the militants are using blue helmets and uniforms of the UN peacekeepers, which were most likely stolen during raids by the rebels, to confuse the government troops.

ReplyDeleteAsked about rumours that UN blue helmets and uniforms have been looted in Syria, the Spokesperson said that the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) is aware of reports of looted UNDOF protective gear being used by some armed members of the opposition in the area of separation.
The security situation in the mission’s area of operation continues to evolve, with often heavy clashes between the Syrian Armed Forces and armed members of the opposition continuing every day inside the area of separation.
All military activities in the area of separation conducted by any actor pose a risk to the long-held ceasefire and the local civilian population, in addition to UN personnel.
