ANKARA - Neither Turkish air space nor a U.S. airbase in the southern
Turkish town of Incirlik have been used in U.S.-led air strikes against
Islamic State militants, two officials in Prime Minister Ahmet
Davutoglu's office told Reuters on Wednesday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an organization that tracks the Syrian war, said earlier that air strikes overnight had hit Islamic State-held territory in Syria near the Turkish border and that the warplanes had come from the direction of Turkey.
There was no other confirmation of air strikes in the area and Reuters could not independently verify the report.

The statement came after a monitoring group claimed warplanes hitting Kobane came from Turkish airspace.
Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the warplanes that carried out the raids west of the city of Kobane, also known as Ayn al-Arab, had come from the direction of Turkey. He added that they were not Syrian. The group, which gathers its information from a network of activists across Syria, had no further evidence on the use of Turkish airspace.......................http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/prime-ministry-sources-deny-use-of-turkish-air-space-in-anti-isil-attacks.aspx?pageID=238&nID=72104&NewsCatID=352
