The EU on Sunday extended 28 million euros grants (about $30.8 million) to help Jordan provide services to Syrian refugees in the country and host communities, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
That has added the total EU aid to Jordan since 2011 to 198 million euros.
"The aid will be used to help the Syrian refugees during the winter season and provide them with heaters, blankets and basic services including health, education and rent for accommodation," the EU said Sunday.
The kingdom has recently appealed for increased aid from the international community to be able to continue providing services to the Syrian refugees.
