Tunisian security forces stepped up the anti-terrorist operations in Ben Guerdane city which lies near the border with Libya, killing four militants and arresting 2 others.
According to Al-Manar reporter, the clashes between the two sides continued as the Tunisian troops besieged terrorists inside the city and chased others in its vicinity.
ISIL terrorist group issued on Thursday a statement in which it claimed responsibility for the failed terrorist attack in the Tunisian southern city, acknowledging its failure and threatening of more operations against the entire country.
Tunisian forces repelled a terrorist assault Monday on Ben Guerdane near the Libyan border, killing 35 gunmen in what authorities said was a thwarted effort to establish an emirate of the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) takfiri group.
