At least three people were injured, some of whom seriously, when a car drove through a crowd near a metro station on the outskirts of Helsinki, Finish media reports.
The 30-year-old male driver appeared to have suffered a medical emergency that caused him to lose control of the car, Finnish public broadcaster Yle said.
According to the Helsingin Sanomat, a car veered on to the sidewalk, hitting a number of parked vehicles as well as at least three pedestrians.
"There is nothing at the moment to suggest that this act was intentional," a representative of the Helsinki Police Department said.
