Iran's foreign ministry rejected Israel's claim that an Iranian drone has crossed the border between Syria and Palestinian occupied territories, saying that the allegation is too ridiculous to receive a response.
"The Syrian government and army, as an independent country, enjoys the legitimate right to defend its territorial integrity and encounter any foreign aggression, and the Zionist regime cannot put a cap on its aggressions and crimes against the Muslim regional nations through its continued blame game and lies that are inborn feature of this illegitimate regime," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Saturday.
"The allegation that an Iranian drone has been flying (over the occupied territories) and Iran's involvement in downing a hostile Israeli fighter jet is too ridiculous to need a response because basically, the Islamic Republic of Iran has an advisory presence in Syria at the demand of the country's legitimate and legal government," he added.
