EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said on Monday that the Iran nuclear deal is based on concrete commitments, verification mechanisms and a very strict monitoring of facts, done by the IAEA.

Mogherini who was in Cairo to take part in a meeting of Libya Quartet made the remarks in reaction to Israeli Prime Minister's claims about Iran's nuclear program. She said the IAEA has published 10 reports, certifying that Iran has fully complied with its commitments.

Iran has called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "an infamous liar" over allegations he made about a secret Iranian nuclear weapons programme.

France said some of the information had been disclosed in 2002, and stressed the importance of continuing the deal.
