The van driver behind the attack in Toronto yesterday that left ten people dead and 15 injured has been charged with 10 counts of premeditated murder.
The driver deliberately ploughed a rental van into a crowd of pedestrians in Toronto yesterday in what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called a "tragic and senseless attack".
In his first court appearance, Alek Minassian, 25, stood in the dock, wearing a white prison jumpsuit, his head shaved and his arms behind his back.
He was also charged with multiple counts of attempted murder.

Le chauffeur de la camionnette qui a foncé dans la foule ce lundi à Toronto, a été formellement inculpé ce mardi au tribunal de 10 meurtres avec préméditation pour autant de morts dénombrés sur les trottoirs de la métropole canadienne.
