Ukraine loses over 140 troops near Kupyansk in past day - Russian Defense Ministry

 The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 140 troops near Kupyansk in the past day, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.

"In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy sent forces comprising up to a battalion tactical group to attack Russian positions near the Kuzemovka settlement in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Russian artillery units and aircraft defeated the Ukrainian forces," he said, adding that over 140 Ukrainian troops had been killed, while three tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, three armored vehicles and five motor vehicles had been destroyed.
