Guardian: Ukraine needs missiles to strike Iran, Syria and Russia

The Ukrainian government sent a report to the G7 countries in August, at the end of which Ukraine asks its Western partners for long-range missiles to destroy factories in Iran, Syria and Russia, where they allegedly make drones for special operations in Ukraine. On 47 pages of the report, it is written that Iran has diversified the production of kamikaze drones by using a Syrian plant, from where supplies went to the port of Novorossiysk. Ukraine believed that production would be transferred to Russia and requested long-range missiles from the West to attack factories.

“Among the proposals for action from Ukraine’s Western allies, which they would likely refuse, are missile attacks on factories producing these drones in Iran, Syria, as well as on a potential production site in the Russian Federation,” the Guardian newspaper quoted the document as saying. .

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius previously expressed the country's concerns about transferring Taurus missiles to Ukraine. The minister argued for delays in transferring cruise missiles to Kyiv by the fact that they could be used to launch strikes deep into Russian territory, which German politicians would like to avoid.
