Israel called on its citizens to leave Egypt and Jordan “as soon as possible” due to the high risk of attacks by those dissatisfied with the Palestinian-Israeli escalation.
This was reported by The Times of Israel with reference to a statement by the National Security Agency, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
“The announcement states that it is additionally recommended to avoid travel to all Middle Eastern and Arab countries, including Turkey, Egypt (including Sinai), Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco,” the statement said.
A warning was also issued regarding Morocco - Israeli citizens were advised to avoid traveling to the country. The reasons for such calls were cited as “displays of hostility and violence against Israelis and Jewish symbols” and ongoing protests against Israel in different countries of the world, in particular in Arab countries of the Middle East.
