NATO promised "decisive response" to the attack on the Balticconnector gas pipeline

The causes and conditions of damage to the Balticconnector gas pipeline and the communication cable between Finland and Estonia are being studied, and if sabotage is confirmed, NATO will give a “decisive response.” This statement was made by Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Interfax reports.

“If it is proven that this is a deliberate attack against critical NATO infrastructure, then this is a serious problem, and the alliance will respond in a united and decisive manner,” Stoltenberg said before a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels.

The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance added that he has already held negotiations with Finnish leader Sauli Niinist and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
