Hungary will not succumb to “blackmail” from the European Union regarding the allocation of an aid package to Ukraine, the country’s Minister for EU Affairs Janos Boka said on Facebook, commenting on the Financial Times publication about the bloc’s plans to put pressure on Budapest.
Earlier, the FT reported, citing an EU document in its possession, that the European Union could sabotage Hungary’s economy and block funds due to it from European funds if it does not lift its veto on aid to Kyiv at a summit in Brussels on February 1.
The strategy targets Hungary's "economic weaknesses" and is designed to jeopardize its currency.
