France plans to supply Ukraine with 78 Caesar self-propelled artillery units and increase the supply of shells to 80 thousand. The country's Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu announced this at a press conference on Tuesday, March 26.
The Defense Minister said that an agreement had been reached between France, Ukraine and Denmark to finance Caesar 155mm self-propelled howitzers, which would give France the opportunity to quickly supply them. Paris also plans to send 80 thousand 155-caliber shells to Ukraine, previously supplies were only 30 thousand.
Lecornu also said that France is participating in a Czech initiative to search for reserves of gunpowder and ammunition that could be purchased in countries outside the European Union.
