The North Atlantic Alliance is considering the possibility of shooting down missiles that fly near the borders of the alliance countries. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Andrzej Sheina on March 26 on the radio station RMF 24.
“NATO is analyzing various concepts, including shooting down such missiles when they are very close to the NATO border,” he said, commenting on reports of a Russian missile allegedly violating Polish airspace.
Moreover, such a measure is possible only with the consent of Kyiv and taking into account the international consequences, Sheina emphasized.
