An air raid alert has been declared throughout Ukraine, according to data from the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Previously, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv, as well as in Kiev, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Khmelnitsky, Chernigov, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkassy, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Nikolaev and Odessa regions.
Around 04.47 the alarm spread to the remaining areas in the west of the country.
- Poland and its allies scrambled their aircraft amid what Warsaw said was Russia’s intensive long-range aviation activity, according to the Operational Command of the republic’s Armed Forces.
"We warn you that Polish and allied aircraft have been activated in the Polish airspace, which may cause increased noise levels, especially in the country’s southeast," the Operational Command wrote on X. "Tonight, intensive long-range aviation activity of the Russian Federation is being observed," it added.
Poland’s Air Force has repeatedly activated its aircraft in recent weeks.
