United States trained more than 17,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers at training grounds in Germany

American instructors trained more than 17 thousand soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) at training grounds in Germany. 

This was announced on April 18 by US Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth and Chief of Staff of the US Army Randy George.

“We continue to fully support Ukraine , our troops have trained more than 17 thousand Ukrainian soldiers in Germany,” says a message published before military officials spoke in the US Senate.

In addition, the US Department of Defense noted that Washington transferred to Kyiv 1.5 million artillery shells, 162 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 131 Stryker armored personnel carriers, 31 Abrams tanks, 21 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and one Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.
