The Venezuelan leadership called the storming of the Mexican embassy in Quito by Ecuadorian police to arrest former Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas, who was hiding there, a barbaric act.
"I have spoken on the phone with the Mexican Foreign Secretary Alicia Barcena and conveyed the absolute solidarity of the president (of Venezuela) Nicol·s Maduro to the president (of Mexico) Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in the face of this barbaric act that violates all the principles of international law," Foreign Minister of Venezuela Yvan Gil Pinto wrote on his page on the social network X
