The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a motion passed by Canada’s House of Commons to add the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) to an official list of “terrorist organizations”.
In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said the proposal by the House of Commons of Canada’s parliament to declare Iran’s official military force as a terrorist group is an unwise and hostile move.
Kanaani strongly condemned the move, which he said violates the accepted standards and principles of international law, including sovereign equality and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, saying it is an example of aggression against Iran's sovereignty and national security.
