The security agreement between the United States and Ukraine, which will be signed on Thursday, stipulates that Washington will hold high-level consultations with Kiev within 24 hours in the event of a future attack on Ukraine, the Washington Post writes, citing sources.
“It obliges the United States to hold high-level consultations with Kiev within 24 hours if Ukraine is attacked again in the future,” the publication said, citing sources.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that the upcoming security agreement between the US and Ukraine does not contain any mention of specific amounts, but includes a commitment from the administration of President Joe Biden to seek new appropriations for Kyiv's needs from the US Congress.
