During the night of August 27-28, air defense systems on duty destroyed 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territory, Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
It is noted that this was an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out a terrorist attack in Russia using drones.
“Eight UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Voronezh region and four over the territory of the Rostov region,” the report says.
Over the past night, air defense forces destroyed five UAVs over Russian territory, three drones were shot down near Belgorod and two near Kursk.
Acting Governor of the Kursk Region Alexey Smirnov thanked the air defense forces that shot down a Ukrainian Armed Forces missile in the Kursk Region in the morning.

A fuel depot in Russia’s southern Rostov Region caught fire after an overnight drone attack, Governor Vasily Golubev said.

The Ukrainian army carried out a drone attack on the village of Novostroyevka-Pervaya in Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region, causing two homes to burn down, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
