The Polish Ministry of Defense announced the signing of a contract with the United States for the supply of 96 Apache AH-64E attack helicopters. The document was signed by the governments of the two countries.
“Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh has just signed a contract for the supply of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for the Polish army,” the department said in a statement on the social network X.
The ministry’s publication clarifies that under the terms of the contract with the US government, in addition to the supply of these units of equipment, the Poles will also be provided with a package of logistics and training services. Ammunition and spare parts will also be supplied.
Kosiniak-Kamysh emphasized that the Polish army will receive its first helicopters in 2028. The contract is worth $10 billion. Its signing became possible after the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk to the United States on March 12
