Patrushev: the Baltic countries are building military infrastructure on the border with the Russia, trying to kick out Russia from Baltic Sea

The Baltic countries have begun building military infrastructure on the border with Russia.

Nikolai Patrushev, aide to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Maritime Collegium, announced this at a meeting in the Kaliningrad region.

“The Baltic countries are modernizing their military infrastructure to accommodate NATO forces,” he noted.

According to Patrushev, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia began to build a defensive line of structures on the border as part of the implementation of their agreements.

The presidential aide added that on the part of these countries there is also a clear desire to change the status of the Baltic Sea after Finland and Sweden joined the North Atlantic Alliance. He noted that plans are being hatched to ban the movement of the Russian fleet in the Baltic Sea.

“Russian ships are being disconnected from the satellite network and communications, which creates risks for the safety of navigation and a threat to the critical information infrastructure of water transport,” concluded the Chairman of the Maritime Board.
