Ukraine will never wait for the Western allies to open a “second front.” This statement was made on Tuesday, October 15, by Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office.
The Ukrainian official did not specify what “second front” he was talking about. However, he wrote on social networks that “we can at least count on tougher trade sanctions.”
At the same time, Podolyak, in an interview with Die Welt, called on Western sponsors of the Kyiv to help “transfer hostilities to Russian territory.” According to the politician, if the West provided Ukraine with long-range weapons, then it would become possible “to attack not only Kursk and other border regions, but also deep into Russia - into Saratov, Oryol, Leningrad and Moscow.”
