Russia brings back 150 soldiers from Ukrainian captivity, 150 Ukrainian transferred in exchange

Russia has returned 150 soldiers from Ukrainian captivity in exchange for 150 Ukrainian prisoners of war, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"On December 30 of this year, as a result of the negotiation process, 150 Russian servicepeople were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime," the ministry said in a statement, adding that 150 Ukrainian POWs were transferred in exchange.

All Russian military personnel are currently on the territory of Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance, as well as the opportunity to contact their relatives, the statement read, adding that they will be transferred to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense.

  1. Russia said Monday it had swapped 150 Ukrainian soldiers held captive for an equal number of Russian troops, in an exchange deal brokered by the United Arab Emirates.

    “On 30 December, as a result of the negotiation process, 150 Russian servicemen were returned from territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. In return, 150 Ukrainian army prisoners of war were handed over,” the Russian defense ministry said.

  2. Rusia libera a 150 soldados rusos tras un canje de prisioneros con Ucrania

    Un total de 150 militares rusos regresaron del cautiverio ucraniano como resultado del canje de prisioneros con Kiev, reportaron desde el Ministerio de Defensa de Rusia. La nota agrega que el mismo número de prisioneros ucranianos fueron entregados a Ucrania.

    "El 30 de diciembre, como resultado del proceso de negociación, 150 militares rusos fueron devueltos del territorio controlado por el régimen de Kiev", destaca el comunicado.

    Los militares rusos retornados se encuentran actualmente en Bielorrusia, donde reciben asistencia psicológica y médica necesaria, e igualmente tienen la posibilidad de comunicarse con sus familias. Luego, serán trasladados a Rusia para recibir tratamiento y rehabilitación, agrega.
