Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević has announced his resignation amid a wave of public protests triggered by one of the deadliest infrastructure failures in recent Serbian history – the collapse of a railway station canopy in Novi Sad.
The November tragedy not only resulted in 15 fatalities but also sparked allegations of corruption, negligence, and poor oversight by the government in infrastructure projects, many of which involved foreign companies.
The disaster became a focal point for public discontent and led to weeks of protests across Serbia.
