The Polish authorities are planning to reconfigure all of the country's major airports for military purposes, Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz announced following a Cabinet meeting.
"There should be more airports that can accommodate both civilian and military aircraft. In fact, every airport should be adapted to collaborate and operate with the military," Kosiniak-Kamysz stated at a press conference broadcast by TVP Info. The project for the largest Polish airport near Warsaw, known as the Central Communications Port, also includes infrastructure for military aircraft.
Additionally, the Polish authorities are working to enhance the road network connecting key infrastructure facilities. Kosiniak-Kamysz specifically mentioned plans for a road linking the port of Gdynia with Gdansk airport.
