Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry, formed by the ruling Taliban radical movement, has accused US President Donald Trump of violating the norms of international law.
The diplomatic agency was referring to the US leader’s remarks on Washington establishing control over the Gaza Strip and relocating its Palestinian residents to Arab countries.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the United States will “take over the Gaza Strip” and promised to rehabilitate the land destroyed after 15 months of war.
“We’ll own it and be responsible,” Trump said, pledging to “create an economic development that will supply an unlimited number of jobs and housing for the people of the area. Do a real job.”
Mr Trump also doubled down on his call for Palestinians to move out of the war-battered territory to Middle Eastern countries like Egypt and Jordan, despite the Palestinians and both nations flatly rejecting his suggestion.
